title : Gazing #1dimension : 60" x 45"

Course: Photography, MA , Royal College of Art

Photography suggests a distance between the seen and the eye. Through that distance, my personal conflict reveals its presence. The conflict emerges between the dominance of my vision and my will to resist its power. In order to reveal the substance of this conflict, I question the point from which my photography departs, rather than the destination to which it proceeds. Photography witnesses my endeavor to locate this point of departure, thereby, capturing the struggle in the form of a visual register. Therefore, my photography is a realization of the conflict, as well as, a testimony of the distance.
